Obesity and overweight are serious health problems that have been affecting more and
more people over the past decade, especially in developed countries. However, these conditions
have not received enough attention from health practitioners. One of the reasons stated by
healthcare providers for not offering medication to obese patients is a lack of a proper practice
guide to guide treatment. Lifestyle modification has a higher chance of success if doctors
collaborate with other professionals to provide patients with a holistic intervention that includes
psychologists, dietitians, and exercise professionals.
