Let the speed of plane be x miles per hour

Let the wind's speed be y miles per hour

x+y = 375/3 =125 miles per hour (speed of plane with the wind)

x-y =375/5 =75 miles per hour (speed of plane against the wind

Adding 2x=200


y =125-100 =25

Answer : plane's speed =100 mile per hour

Wind's speed =25 mile sper hour
