Companies should hire for diversity. Firstly, the more diversity the more perspectives and differing ideas your company will have. Secondly, a diverse workforce can contribute to increased productivity and morale. Thirdly, it promotes fair and equal access to employment, that does not discriminate. Finally, a company can stay consistent with laws and regulations that require diversity (ex, affirmative action). My current place of work could benefit from a diverse workforce in that it would allow for better adaptability in providing solutions to problems and in suggesting ideas. It would provide a variety of perspectives as individuals from diverse backgrounds often have completely different takes on things.
