Policy Development Plan
The main objective of the healthcare policies and procedures is to promote and protect
the healthcare of individuals and the community. This means that in the development of the
policies and procedures for the employees’ code of conduct, there is a need to be inclusive.
Because of this, the process of developing policies and procedures in the healthcare setting is
complex as it involves legal, political, ethical and social considerations as well as the
involvement of multiple stakeholders. Besides, the healthcare policies and procedures for
employees’ code of conduct reflect the choices made from competing priorities and data
