I am having a tough time solving inequalities & equations & I have a test on Thursday! please help
Some basic rules of solving equations:
1. the opposite of multiplying is dividing.. if something is multiplied, you can cancel it by dividing it out on both sides of the equation.
2. the opposite of adding is subtracting
3. what you do on one side, you must do on the other
4. always start by getting all x's on one side
for inequalities, just solve for x as you normally would in an equation. the only difference is if you divide by a negative, you just need to flip the inequality side.
hope this helps
