Technology has significantly changed the power of the presidency. First, candidates can
communicate to the public through social media platforms, where they discuss their various
political views. Also, candidates are closely monitored during elections, which have increased
transparency when electing the president. Nevertheless, with the advance in technology, the
president has to keep tabs with the new trends, such as cyber security which enhances
legitimacy. The current use of presidential executive power is not consistent with article 11 of
the U.S constitution. This article holds that the president shall serve a term of four years, and his
