indication of ending soon.
Causes of Obesity
Obesity can be defined as excessive deposition of fatty tissue that affects wellbeing and
physical and experience in society.
Effects of Obesity
There are variable impacts of this pandemic. For example, it affects an individual's
mortality.
Promoting Awareness of Obesity
Creating awareness is a tool that is usually used to tackle a persisting problem.
Prevention of Obesity
There are a few different ways to check or diminish it, similarly as obesity is hazardous
Treatment
Up to date, the most viable method to treat obesity is bariatric surgery
New Findings
While the accessible information well archives the possible unfavorable effects of obesity
in the general populace, wellbeing results in explicit subgroups seem to increment at a raised
BMI, a marvel known as the heftiness endurance mystery
Conclusion
Obesity is always underestimated; thus, people never take it seriously.

Obesity
Obesity is a health problem that has spread in many communities without a clear
indication of ending soon. It is in the health category because its causes and effects are related to
health, as we are going to see. This occurrence is always confused by overweight, but there is a
notable difference. A person is obese when the BMI (body mass index) is greater than 30, while
overweights have a 25 or greater BMI (Bluher, 2019). As of 2019, the WHO had a record of over
38 million cases of obesity. It is a worrying figure given that apart from killing, obesity is
accountable for health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer, and shorter life
expectancy.
This paper was motivated by my experience on this matter. I had a friend who was an
amateur boxer in our district. Since he performed well, he was adored by many. The fame that
boxing brought him boosted his personality and ego, and he was mostly upbeat. This episode did
not last long since he lost one match. It is this one match that changed him. The problem was that
he crumbled to a lowly ranked fighter, and it was a disgrace. He did not take this loss well and
went on to adopt a different lifestyle. He stopped attending practice, became unfit, ate a lot of
junk food, and gained some weight. In three months, he was unrecognizable as he had taken a
new body shape. It is this change in him that I decided to write a paper about obesity.
This report will highlight the causes and effects of this pandemic and how to promote
awareness regarding it. It will also emphasize some statistics related to obesity as provided by
the researchers on this issue. Finally, it will highlight how I might help my friend overcome it.

Causes of Obesity
Obesity can be defined as excessive deposition of fatty tissue that affects wellbeing and
physical and experience in society. The critical deciding factor, in this case, is the distribution of
the individual's weight. BMI is a standard instrument used to assess the level of weight
distribution, commonly known as obesity. This tool is not the only one accustomed to that work
since others, such as the waist-to-hip size ratio, the waist-to-height ratio, and the volume and
proportion of fat on the body, exist.
Weight gain, a mandatory feature in obesity, can be caused by eating many calories, thus
increasing it. With the pilling of calories in your system, your body is custom made to store its
excess, in case you don't use it in whole to produce energy. It is this mechanism that promotes
the development of obesity. Apart from that, this disorder is often caused by a comfortable
lifestyle. The current generation prefers to live a life that involves less physical activities. Such
activities include working in an office, playing online games, and minimizing walk time using
automobiles. They prefer this in place of manual labor, doing physical exercise, and walking for
exercise. With restricted movement, the body burns fewer calories, thus accumulation to
unprecedented levels. Physical activities are essential because they promote active gene and
hormonal actions, thus dictating an individual's eating habits.
Poor sleeping habits and patterns can also induce obesity. Sleep is an essential aspect in
humans when done correctly, and it maintains the balance between hormones. The opposite of
this action yields results that may cause an individual to eat a lot of food, thus the problem
(Bluher, 2019). In-depth, this scenario exhibits that with less sleep, ghrelin, an appetite booster
hormone is mass-produced while its inhibitor, leptin, is lowered.

Obesity in an individual is sometimes guided by genetics. It had been studied that another
type of obesity mainly manifested in infants is caused by chromosomal deletion. Although the
deleted segment was determined by less than one percent of the morbidly obese study
population, its loss was thought to lead to deviant hormone communication, namely leptin and
insulin, which control appetite and glucose metabolism, respectively.
Effects of Obesity
There are variable impacts of this pandemic. For example, it affects an individual's
mortality. Obesity is accredited as one of the leading preventable diseases that cause the loss of
many lives worldly. Many researchers have attested that mortality risk is rare in non-smokers at a
BMI of below 25 kg/m2 and in current smokers at a maximum of 27 kg/m2, with risks increasing
in either direction along with shifts (Csige et al., 2018). It appears to stretch to at least four
regions. A contrasting study in 2013 showed that grade 1 obesity had no direct link with
mortality a...
