South University Cognitive Behavioral Approach Case Study
Read the Case Study Synopsis.Charles approaches your private group practice to seek counseling. You have received vital information from the intake packet that you and your classmates have developed. Assume your colleague has submitted a synopsis in your weekly treatment team meeting. On the basis of this case study, you and your classmates need to engage in a reflective team process and generate the ideas for developing a treatment plan for your client. You must be sensitive to the diversity of the client and follow the American Counseling Association's (ACA’s) code of ethics. Prepare a treatment plan for your client based on the case study and using an existential humanistic approach. Describe this treatment plan and your rationale for this plan in the discussion thread. Respond to the assignment using the lessons and vocabulary found in the reading. Support your answers with examples from scholarly literature such as peer reviewed journal articles and cite your sources using proper APA format.Assume that Charles has been attending your private group practice for two months. However, one of your colleagues decides to bring this case forward for review. Your colleague explains that the treatment plan was unsuccessful due to Charles’s resistance and some therapeutic errors, resulting from the counselor’s blind spots. Your colleague explains that during supervision, she observed Charles’s decision-making and problem-solving style. She recognized that Charles would most likely respond to the cognitive-behavioral approach instead of the existential-humanistic theoretical approach used in your initial treatment plan. She decides to request inputs on developing a cognitive-behavioral treatment plan. Therefore, you need to modify your initial treatment plan. What ideas will you provide to develop the cognitive-behavioral treatment plan? Provide a detailed explanation of what information you might need and what goals you might set based on cognitive-behavioral theories. You must be sensitive to the diversity of your client. So, structure your responses in a manner that they are aligned with the American Counseling Association's (ACA’s) code of ethics. Please add additional 2 questions that could be asked in correspondance with this post?

PSYCH 300 The Community College of Baltimore County Depression Discussion
Choose a construct of interest. Find and describe two measures of that construct in the research literature and include the references (using APA style). If you were conducting your own study, which one (if either) would you use and why?Note. Please refer to this week's reading to understand what is a construct and what is a measure. Refer to the types of measures in your post (behavioral, physical, etc.).For example, if I were to choose the construct of self-esteem, I would find two journal articles that used a measure of self-esteem (i.e., a different measure was used in each study). In my response, I would describe the two (or more) measures and how they were used. Measures of constructs include surveys, questionnaires, and the like. In the case of self-esteem, I could use measures such as the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and the Self-esteem Stability Scale. Please do not use self-esteem as your example and also be mindful of constructs vs. psychological disorders.
