An example of an environment with high species diversity would be something like a forest. Forests are home to many different types of trees, lots of different insects, fungi, animals ... the list goes on. An example of an environment with low species diversity would be a beach habitat. There are different types of birds, and small plants, but generally, not too many species (if you don't count the species in the ocean).
