A flag pole is bent over by the wind so the top is now touching the ground, 12 feet from the base. (Note: if 2=6, then 12=16). The angle the ploe makes with the ground is 75 degrees. (Note 7=3, then 75 degrees equals 35 degrees. How tall was the pole

Angle = 75 degree

Base distance = 12 feet

So from figure , we get

Tan (theta) = Height / Base

Putting the values, we get

Tan (75 deg) = Height / 12

Height = 12 * Tan(75 deg)

Height = 12 * 3.732

Height = 44.784

Or

Height = 45 feet      approximately
