Do you think that people opt out of these types of
intakes and go for the "fad" dieting because of wanting results now? Do
you think that there is a basic understanding how some fad diets can
cause long term problems for a person?
According to the
American Heart Association (AHA), they claim that this diet contains a
high percentage of calories from fat. “This is thought to contribute to
the increasing obesity in these countries, which is becoming a concern”
(American Heart Association, 2014). They then go on to say that, people
who follow this diet eat less saturated fat than the American diet. Do
you think this diet is used more Mediterranean countries then in the
United States? Would this be a diet that you might try if you were
looking to diet?
