Description

Main task: Locate two potential solutions/improvements to the problem you wrote about in your CP and answer the following questions about these solutions. To be clear: you will answer the 7 questions below for each of the two potential solutions/improvements:

  1. What does the policy/law/call to action aim to solve or improve?
  2. How does it aim to solve/improve? How will the solution or improvement be achieved?
  3. Who will solve the solution/improvement?
  4. Who will the solution/improvement impact? How?
  5. Are there any risks or potential drawbacks?
  6. Who supports the solution/improvement? Who is against it? For what reasons?
  7. Who do you need to persuade? In other words, who is the focus/target of your advocacy?

Use at least two new sources to support each solution/improvement and your claims about them. For claims that you can't yet support with evidence, note where you’re making an assumption by using the mark (A) and where you need to do more research with (R).

In total, then, you should locate at least four new sources and add these sources to your corresponding CP bibliography.

The two potential solutions to the negative impact of climate change in cities include
providing tax credits to those who purchase electric cars and setting stiffer punishments for
companies that fail to adopt measures to reduce the carbon footprint. The policies will reduce
the emission of greenhouse gases from manufacturing companies and automobiles that use
gasoline.
Foremost, the tax credits will encourage city dwellers to purchase electric cars that
have been shown to emit fewer greenhouse gasses than vehicles that use either diesel or
petrol. Secondly, stiffer punishments for companies that fail to adhere to set maximum values
of greenhouse gasses emissions will ensure that companies are forced to adopt
environmentally friend options such as using renewable sources of energy (Manley et al.).
The U.S federal government should adopt the above-proposed solutions to ensure that
they are implemented across the country. In other words, the punishments for exceeding the
maximum emissions of greenhouse gasses should cut across each state. Additionally, the
proposed tax credits should be federal-tax credits to encourage citizens across the country...
