Community policing is a philosophy that enhances organizational strategies in regards to
the organized adoption of problem-solving approaches and partnerships. The main objective is to
give a solution to the immediate state attributing to public safety matters like social disorder,
crime, and crime panic. The police division wholly accepts and adopts the philosophy of
community-oriented policing. The division also encourages organizational strategies based on
community policing philosophy in ensuring safety within the National Institute of Health (NIH)
community. Examples of avenues prompting for partnerships and open, cooperative discussions
between police and community members towards problem-solving include instances of social
disorder, crime, safe movement of pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles on roadways. Communityoriented policing is best applicable to giving solutions to community problems and stopping
crime. The community policing philosophy states that the community and the police have to
cooperate as partners to find a solution to society's modern-day challenges.
Community policing philosophy has positive effects on citizen satisfaction and building
trust in the police (Crowl, 2017). Additionally, it helps to reduce personal insight into disorderly
practices such as drug trafficking. The community-based policing strategy has also promoted
