Homework: Project II – Musical Instrument Due: 11/16/2016 03:00pm
Week 2 HW Assignment – Project 2 HW 2 in My Assignments
1. Write Excel application which can calculate and graph theoretical first harmonic
frequency of a cantilever beam as calculated from (Eq. 1) 𝑓1 =
𝐾1
2𝜋 𝐿 2
𝐸𝐼
√ 𝜌𝐴 as a
function of the beam length L. The application should take the values listed in Table 6,
convert all values to SI units and calculate f1.
a. To verify that the Excel gives correct results, calculate by hand the single
frequency for all the values listed in Table 6 and for L = 4 inches. Make sure that
all the units are consistent. Compare your result with the result from Excel.
2. Use the Excel application you created to investigate the f1(L) relation for three cases: (a)
Steel beam described in Table 6; (b) steel tubular chime described in Table 7; (c) Copper
tubular chime described in Table 7. For each case:
a. Create a table with two columns: L (in) with at least 10 values, and f1 with the
corresponding calculated frequency (Hz). Adjust the range of L so that the
frequency is approximately between 100 and 500 Hz.
b. Graph f1(L) using ‘scatter’ plot in Excel. Add labels, units, etc.
c. Determine the value of the theoretical beam length L, which will result in the
assigned target frequencies (see Table 2 in the Instructions).
3. In a similar fashion, determine the f1(L) relation and the target pipe lengths for palm
pipes, as described by (Eq. 4) in the instructions.

Effat University International Rescue Committee Report
Final project (30 Marks):Part 1 (50%): You are to decide on an organization that you want to evaluate. It is important that you have some knowledge of the inner workings of the company-- its struggles, its strengths, its culture, and so forth -- or have access to the organization to conduct interviews to collect the needed information. You will produce a written report. The paper should include the following sections:Organization Background - Provide just enough details on the company for me to be able to understand the problem that will be described. Resist the urge to provide irrelevant details and feel free to omit or disguise any details that might be sensitive in nature. (1 page)Organizational Culture – Provide a brief description of the elements of the company’s culture in terms of artifacts, shared values, and shared assumptions. (1 page)Problem - Describe, specifically, number of problems that the company is struggling with that will serve as the focus of the paper. Resist the urge to discuss multiple problems (focus on one specific issue with which the organization is struggling). Be sure to focus on a problem that within the scope of this course. (1 page) Part 2 (50%):This part is builds on the previous one and it should include the following sections:1. Theoretical Lens - Choose one topic from the list below, and apply that topic to the problem. Describe very specifically how the concepts, principles, and findings represented in the topic matter to the problem, and how they can be leveraged to articulate a solution.GlobalizationDiversityEthicsDesign and CultureReward SystemWork Motivation ModelinfluencesModel of Emotions, Attitudes, and BehaviorDecision making procedure2. Recommendation – Provide a list (at least three) of very specific recommendations/action steps that flow out of the discussion of the topic and that can help solve the problem. In thinking about how to craft the topic into those recommendations, strike a balance between being practical and being bold. Every organization has key constraints (culture, organizational stakeholders, and competitive environment) that need to be taken into account when designing interventions. Although those should be considered, resist the urge to “play it safe”, as that tendency often leads to modest interventions that are ultimately ineffective.General instructions:All work must be written in proper academic language and it should be original. The project should include an introduction, context, conclusions and table of contents. The work should shows a deep understanding of the course concepts and how they applied in real world casesCite all work properly Supporting Documentation & References should be included at the end of the report Submission instructionsThe recommended text size is 12 pt. and Times New Roman font. And line space should be double.References on Harvard style The required file format for the paper is a .doc or .docx file.Plagiarism is considered as a serious offence in academic writing.

SNHU Week 8 Technology Financial & Energy Sectors ETFs Discussion
8-2 Jupyter Notebook (Discussion Prep)External Learning ToolThis activity will take you to the Jupyter Notebook containing the Python scripts for your Module Eight discussion. It is highly recommended that you read through the discussion prompt before completing your work in this notebook. When you are finished completing and running the Python scripts, begin work on your initial discussion post.Note: This task is not graded, but you will be required to attach your completed Jupyter notebook to your discussion post in the next activity.
8-3 Discussion: One-Way ANOVADiscussion Topic Starts Jun 12, 2021 8:59 PMUse the link in the Jupyter Notebook activity to access your Python script. Once you have made your calculations, complete this discussion. The script will output answers to the questions given below. You must attach your Python script output as an HTML file and respond to the questions below. In this discussion, you will apply the statistical concepts and techniques covered in this week's reading about one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). An investment analyst is evaluating the 10-year mean return on investment for industry-specific exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for three sectors: financial, energy, and technology. The analyst obtains a random sample of 30 ETFs for each sector and calculates the 10-year return of each ETF. The analyst has provided you with this data set. Run Step 1 in the Python script to upload the data file.Using the sample data, perform one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Evaluate whether the average return of at least one of the industry-specific ETFs is significantly different. Use a 5% level of significance. In your initial post, address the following items:
Define the null and alternative hypothesis in mathematical terms and in words.
Report the level of significance.
Include the t3st statistic and the P-value. See Step 2 in the Python script.
Provide your conclusion and interpretation of the t3st. Should the null hypothesis be rejected? Why or why not?
Does a side-by-side boxplot of the 10-year returns of ETFs from the three sectors confirm your conclusion of the hypothesis test? Why or why not? See Step 3 in the Python script.
In your follow-up posts to other students, review your peers' results and provide some analysis and interpretation:
What does a post-hoc t3st (like Tukey's HSD t3st) contribute after one-way ANOVA is performed?
Comment on your peers' results and compare them with your own.
Remember to attach your Python output and respond to all questions in your initial and follow-up posts. Be sure to clearly communicate your ideas using appropriate terminology.

Ho: u1 = u2 = … = uk
Ha: ui ? uj, for some i ? j
Level of significance = 0.05 or 5%
Test statistic, F = 55.07
P-value = 0.0
Yes. The null hypothesis, Ho should be rejected since the p-value of 0.0 is less than the significant level of 0.05 sufficient evidence exists to reject the null hypothesis, Ho for the alternative hypothesis, Ha.
5. Yes. The one-way ANOVA compares the means of three or more groups of one predictor variable. There are at least two groups with unequal means. If you examine the box plot you can see that the energy ETF and technology ETF mean are unequal to the financial ETF mean. Both ETF's have a higher mean than the financial ETF.

DAD 220 Southern New Hampshire University SQL Commands for Processing All Returns Project
Overview
Quantigration, a rapidly expanding networking equipment manufacturer, wants to document all of its equipment returns. It has identified this as a problematic area. You have been hired to create a database using SQL commands for processing all returns.
Prompt
You will use the return merchandise authorization (RMA) entity relationship diagram (ERD) to build a database. Each of these tables represents a database entity. The ERD is the blueprint for building your relational database.
Before you begin, do the following:
Make sure to download the Module Three Major Activity Database Documentation Template Word Document for this assignment. You will need to place your answers and screenshots in this document and then submit it for grading.
Check the Database Documentation Template Example PDF for clarity on expectations of what yours should look like.
Make sure to review the example RMA entity relationship diagram (ERD) PDF that you should be using as a guide before you begin. A text version is also available: Quantigration RMA ERD Text Version Word Document.
Review the resources on how to capture screenshots, if necessary.
Go to your online integrated development environment (Codio), log in, start a new terminal session, and then create a database schema called QuantigrationRMA and list it out on the screen. Then, connect to the QuantigrationRMA schema.
Using the ERD as a reference, create the following tables with the appropriate attributes and keys:
A table to store customer information with a primary key of customer ID
A table to store order information with a primary key of Order ID
A table to store RMA information with a primary key of RMA ID
Manually add 10 records into the Customers table. The data can be made up for now, as you will populate all three tables later from the provided .csv files
Due to a new company branding initiative, you’ve been asked to establish a database view called "Collaborators" that is based on the "Customers" table. Create a view from the existing Customers table by using the SQL command provided below to say "Collaborators." The view should show all instances of "Customer" renamed as "Collaborator." Execute the following statements and provide one or more supporting screenshots verifying establishment of the database view:
The following command is partially complete. Fill in the missing information in the brackets to complete it and run the commands correctly.
CREATE VIEW Collaborator AS
SELECT CustomerID AS CollaboratorID, [Enter in the correct column names from that customer table that you want to change in the collaborator table]
FROM Customers;
DESCRIBE Collaborators;
SELECT * FROM Collaborators LIMIT 5;
