What is the domain of the function ? f(x)=cos^-1x

The domain of inverse cosine (cos^-1(x)) will be the range of cos(x) because when you take an inverse, you switch x and y and solve for y.  The range of cos(x) is [-1,1].  This is therefore, the domain of cos^-1(x).
