All of your work should be compiled in a Microsoft Word document or a PDF and submitted on Blackboard.
Name your file with the following naming convention: last name, first name, Tech A
Part 1: Visualizing Span
1. Create a Geogebra account and log in.
2. Select “GeoGebra 3D Graphing Calculator.” Make sure your URL says: https://www.geogebra.org/3d.
3. Plot A = 1,2,3 and B = 2,-1,1 . Type in the following:
Line commands:
A= (1,2,3)
B= (2,-1,1)
u=Vector(A)
v=Vector(B)
4. Construct Span{ A, B}
Line commands:
C= (0,0,0)
P=Polygon(A,B,C)
1
5. Visually determine if C = 1,0,1 is in Span{ A, B}
Line commands:
d:Plane(P)
D= (1,0,1)
6. Copy a link to your work into your google doc.
Part 2: Parallelepiped
Construct a parallelepiped with vertices at O is (0,0,0), A is (2,4,-2), B is (3,6,1), and C is (4,0,-1)
1. Select “NEW” then “Start GeoGebra Math Calculators”
2. Plot points O, A, B, C
3. Select the points O, A, C, and back to O in that order to create a polygon.
2
4. Create a line parallel to OC through A and a line parallel to AC through point O. Select the point then the
line you want to be parallel to.
5. Find the intersection of the two parallel lines at plot point D. Select the two lines you want to intersect.
6. Select the points O, C, A, D and back to O in that order to create a polygon.
7. Use the Prism command to extrude the parallelogram base OCAD to point B.
Line command: “Prism(Polygon(O,C,A,D),B)”
8. Copy a link to your work into your Word document or a PDF and submit on Blackboard.

Auburn University Main Campus Managerial Finance Questions
Problem Set #5Question 1At year-end 2018, Marvel Company total assets were $4.5 million, and its accounts payable were $850,000. Sales, which in 2018 were $5.5 million, are expected to increase by 25% in 2019. Total assets and accounts payable are proportional to sales, and that relationship will be maintained. Marvel typically uses no current liabilities other than accounts payable. Common stock amounted to $ 2.25 million in 2018, and retained earnings were $150,000. Marvel has arranged to sell $25,000 of new common stock in 2019 to meet some of its financing needs. The remainder of its financing needs will be met by issuing new long-term debt at the end of 2019. (Because the debt is added at the end of the year, there will be no additional interest expense due to the new debt.) Its net profit margin on sales is 2.5%, and 55% of earnings will be paid out as dividends.a. What were Marvel’s total long-term debt and total liabilities in 2018?b. How much new long-term debt financing will be needed in 2019? (Hint: AFN – New stock = New long-term debt.)Question 2Mayor company sales are expected to increase by 20% from $5 million in 2018 to $6 million in 2019. Its assets totaled $7 million at the end of 2018. Mayor is already at full capacity, so its assets must grow at the same rate as projected sales. At the end of 2018, current liabilities were $1.2 million, consisting of $500,000 of accounts payable, $300,000 of notes payable, and $400,000 of accruals. The after-tax profit margin is forecasted to be 5%, and the forecasted payout ratio is 60%.a. Use the AFN equation to forecast Mayor’s additional funds needed for the coming year.Question 3Suppose you decide (as did Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg) to start a company.Your product is a software platform that integrates a wide range of media devices, including laptop computers, desktop computers, digital video recorders, and cell phones. Your initial market is the student body at your university. Once you have established your company and set up procedures for operating it, you plan to expand to other colleges in the area and eventually to go nationwide. At some point, hopefully sooner rather than later, you plan to go public with an IPO and then to buy a yacht and take off for the South Pacific to indulge in your passion for underwater photography. With these issues in mind, you need to answer for yourself, and potential investors, the following questions.What is an agency relationship? When you first begin operations, assuming you are the only employee and only your money is invested in the business, would any agency conflicts exist? Explain your answer.If you expanded and hired additional people to help you, might that give rise to agency problems? Explain your answerSuppose you need additional capital to expand, and you sell some stock to outside investors. If you maintain enough stock to control the company, what type of agency conflict might occur? Suppose your company raises funds from outside lenders. What type of agency costs might occur? How might lenders mitigate the agency costs?Suppose your company is very successful, and you cash out most of your stock and turn the company over to an elected board of directors. Neither you nor any other stockholders own a controlling interest (this is the situation at most public companies). List six potential managerial behaviors that can harm a firm’s value.What is corporate governance? List five corporate governance provisions that are internal to a firm and under its control. What characteristics of the board of directors usually lead to effective corporate governance?List three provisions in the corporate charter that affect takeovers.Briefly describe the use of stock options in a compensation plan. What are some potential problems with stock options as a form of compensation?What is block ownership? How does it affect corporate governance?Briefly explain how regulatory agencies and legal systems affect corporate governance.Submit your answers in a Word document.

Boston University Creating a Project Charter MS Project
Instructions Create a new project file in Microsoft Project and use the “Save as” function to rename the file with your last name, your first initial, and your project title. Example: AlexisJ_EletricTruckProject. (1point). 2. Use the file Properties from the “Backstage” view in Microsoft Project to enter a brief description of the project objectives in the Comments field. Remember, project objectives must be SMART. Complete the other Properties as appropriate. (Hint: Go to File>Info>Project Information>Advanced Properties>Comments). (2points) 3. From the Gantt chart view, with the Entry Table applied, enter 20 deliverables for your project in the Task Name column, including project management. Remember, typically, a deliverable is a component part of the project and is expressed as a noun/adjective – NOT a verb (Hint: see PMBOK ® fifth edition pages 158, 159, and 160 as examples). It is acceptable to breakdown your project into phases, and then deliverables and sub-deliverables. (7points). 4. If you have not done so, breakdown the deliverables of your project into work packages and enter them as subtasks under the deliverables. Remember, it is okay to combine a phase-based with a deliverable-based approach. In fact, you are encouraged to use the phases you created for your project earlier in the course. If you need a hint, refer to the lecture on scope management. (2 points) 5. Breakdown the work packages into project activities. Note that unlike deliverables, activities are the actual actions you need to perform to complete the deliverables/work packages or phases. Activities are expressed as verb phrases. If you need a hint, review the lecture on schedule management. (6 points) 6. Use the “Indent/Outdent Task” command from the Task tab in Microsoft Project to create a hierarchy of deliverables/work packages/activities. This hierarchy will help you plan better your project. (1point) 7. Use the default WBS coding system in MS Project to code your WBS. (Hint: From the Format tab> Outline Number). (1point) Note: The total items in your project files should consist of at least 50 lines, including deliverables, work packages, and activities. Remember that planning is an iterative process. You can always revise your plan as more information becomes available. Your project activities must be completely original - do not copy information from another source. You will receive a zero score for any assignments that are not original. Hint: Review the attached file to see how to structure your deliverables, work packages, and activities. Pay careful attention to the nomenclature.Instructions Create a new project file in Microsoft Project and use the “Save as” function to rename the file with your last name, your first initial, and your project title.
