A free falling body came twice as much way in the last minute of the falling than in the last but one. From what height did the body fall?

Height in t sec =0.5 g t2

0.5[ gt2-  g (t-1)2]= 2*0.5[ g(t-1)2-  g (t-2)2]

t2-  (t-1)2= 2 [ (t-1)2- (t-2)2]

t2- (t2-2t+1) = 2{(t2-2t+1)- (t2-4t+4)}

2t-1=2(2t-3)

2t-4t = -6+1 = -5

-2t = -5

t = 5/2 =2.5

Height = 0.5 *9.8 * (25/4) = 4.9 *25/4 = 30.625 m
