Executive summary
The world is filled with uncertainties and it happens all around the globe. Firms and
business entrepreneurs are facing different issues in managing the issues but still sometimes
uncertainties threat then firms with high tendency. Globalization is helpful in business expansion
but n the same note it is threatened by the internal and external environment of firms. The most
important risk is the supply chain management that the firm faced due to transportation and
different other reason. Supply chain management helps analyze the warehouse, inventory
demand, supply and production. All these factors are important for better and advance the
management of the firm to compete in the competitor market.
Domino’s a big food delivery firm working in different countries with more than 5000
stores is facing supply chain management issues. This has a strong historical timeline with
successive approaches but still, due to deferment threats, its image is threatened among the
competitors. The main issue that has been analyzed from the first analysis is that the
organization is facing a supply chain management issue that is based on different aspects. the
warehouse mismanagement, lean management, demand forecasting issue, supplier’s issue and
customers issue are related to the supply chain management that threatens the firm abruptly.
Furthermore, the theoretical assessment gave views of different supply chain
management and tolls that help manage different issues of supply chain and logistics. Bottom
line theory focuses on maintaining people, profit and plant. The application of this theory helps
in marinating the revenue stream with the effect of suppliers and customers. on the other hand,
the pull and push theory helps in managing the warehouse, stakeholder’s relationship and the

demand and supply forecasting. Lean management is handled just in time too and it becomes
helpful in managing the timely and speedy delivery of food to the customers.
Domino' has applied bottom line theory and steles lean management issues. The specific
tool was just in time for making the order on time. This helps in managing the inventory and for

Background
Globalization and digitalization change makeup the business minders for having a

developed firm. Technology adaptation is important for firms in a competitive business
environment. All business sectors have adopted globalization for increasing their sale
accomplishment of profit maximization objective. The businesses are expanding not only in the
country but beyond the boundaries for having profitable ad better expansion opportunities. The
main important factor while working domestically or internationally is logistics and supply chain
management. This is interdependent on the operational and management activities and highly
affected by the issues regarding processing and decision making. Nowadays all sectors including
food are moving towards globalization and Domino’s pizza maker is also in the same race.
Domino's is a well-reputed food chain performing remarkably by adopting globalization since
1965 naming Pizzeria and with time, it has converted to Domino's (Dash, 2019).
The story of domino's pizza started in the United States of America and has been leading
all over the globe. Initially, it worked with the 200 franchises within the USA but now it has its
footprints in the Middle East, Europe, Gulf countries, Asia and Africa. Nowadays Dominos is
leading in the pizza maker industry with more than 5000 stores physically in a different location
and still is opening new routes of expansion (Domino's, 2019).
Whenever anyone wants pizza the first name that clicked the customer’s mind is
Domino’s as it has made the mind that pizza is only this. Other than this, special discounts are
the parts of his pizza maker franchise. Furthermore, Domino’s is famous for the lunchboxes that
have been introduced for the corporate sectors and pasta, pan pizza, bread bowls and oven-baked
sandwiches are some of the specialities of Dominoes. The product line is expanding day by day
for facilitating the customer with better ad delicious products to satisfy their food ad pizza

cravings. The pizza van is announced by Domino's for fulfilling the pizza desire for Israelis.
Furthermore, the addition of dessert is a positive and delighted step of the firm.
The investor’s relation report is showing it better for 2020 but still, that performance is
not getting well after the logistic and supply chain management is affected due to reasons that
disturbed the brand name among the customers. The financial reporting shows that the firm has
announced the recapitalization of 675 million fix notes. The online delivery system has been
expended and in the year 2019 61% of US pizza customers have ordered from Domino's
(Domino's, 2019).
Domino’s us facing high competition among the local and regional brands and it is
increasing day by day as the pizza market within the USA is increasing rapidly. The main
competitors are Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Little Cassers.

Other than this, the firm is

maintaining corporate social responsibility efficiently by delivering free food to needy people.
Online and physical store existence is made Domino's better and it's a friendly pizza theatre that
started in 2012 was a better and effective pizza campaign (Domino's, 2019).

Problem analysis
For the delivery firm supply, chain management is important to manage operational

activities. The firm that managed its supply chain and logistics are efficiently maintaining its
customers and have a better and well-known position in the market. Domino's is a good and
well-reputed firm facing supply chain and logistics issue for delivering the food. On the other
hand, the worst supply chain management is the reason for customer's dissatisfaction and
fluctuated financial growth. The logistics issue is one of the risky problems that have to threaten
the pizza market and customers. Many customers were disappointed due to the unavailability of

the required order and it destroyed the financial growth and brand position in the competitive
market. Domino's pizza is facing a production processing issue that is interdependent with
managerial decision-making activities. The domino’s supply chain management is two linked
operation and facts have been found that the main ingredients of the pizza are supplied from the
outsourcing firms (Wieteska, 2018).
Supply chain management is dependent on the outsourcing relationship with the
stakeholders. if the suppliers of the firm are working properly especially in the food sector the
firm may grow and compete with good feedback. in opposing to this bad supplier’s relationship
would not only affect the supply of raw material but further distract the operational and
production activity. In the case of Domino's the relationship with the suppliers was worst and
they did not fulfil the demand of required raw material and it slows down the production due to
lacking ingredients required for making the dough. Slowdown production directly affects the
supply of orders to the customers and it negatively affects the customer’s preferences. Domino's
introduced customization in pizza making and foodies went to this in hurry. The order was more
than the estimated and it becomes the reason for late order delivery. The other reason after late
order delivery was lacking a delivery workforce and the unavailability of raw material that
destroyed the image of pizza and declines the financial growth (Kraak, 2017).
Supply chain management helps in maintaining a good Customer relationship but on the
other hand demand forecasting is an important factor for having a good reputation in the market.
In the case of domino, demand forecasting also declines the sully chain and logistics operations.
Due to some natural and crises, many pizza franchises closed in the various locations and it
diverts the customer towards Domino’s but the management was unable to forecast this demand.

The uncertain increasing demand and worst supplier’s relationship created supply chain risk for
the firm (Shankar, 2018).

➢ To explore the strategic supply chain concept for the food chain
➢ To determine the importance of demand forecasting about the better supply chain
management
➢ To analyze the tools implemented by transportation and logistics firm for maintaining
better supply chain management with the stakeholders
➢ To analyze the effect of implemented supply chain management tools in rescuing

2.2

Theories for resolving supply chain issues
People, planet and profit are the three main concerns of any management and firm and it

needs to be n properly for maintaining a god business especially in the global market. These
three P’s refers to the bottom line theory of supply chain management that helps the firm to
understand the issues regarding supply chain and logistics in any firm. The bottom line theory
stated that if people (workforce) are efficiently working so they can manage properly for other
people (customers). the profitability of the firm is associated with the workforce and customers.
the just in time is the better tool for maintaining supply chain management. Through the
application of just in time, the delivery service would be efficient. The application of bottom line
theory makes the firm perfect for making a good relationship with the suppliers and the

customers. in Domino’s stakeholder's relationship has been managed by just in time and bottom
line application. The firm manages the operations properly by training the workforce and hiring
new employees for making the delivery speedy and timely. On the other hand, stakeholder
relationship has been managed by deciding of acquiring land for a warehouse for having more
storage of raw material. Outsourcing is threatened by different economical and natural disasters
so a big giant manages the system by stocking the required inventory. The new warehouse is a
positive point for having more required raw material so that processing could be better and
advanced.
The push and pull strategy is bets for maintaining then supply chain management issue
for any firm whether large or small. The pull and push strategy is entirely focused n the supply
chain for managing a better relationship with the customers. The elements of push strategy
represent the internal environment maintenance for the betterment of external factors that
becomes risky for the firm and supply chain management. The main objective of push strategy
implementation is demand forecasting. The push strategy refers to the firm to analyze the
accurate demand so that the supply could manage accurately. An actual demand forecast is a big
tool for the firm for maintaining the best stakeholder and production processing to eliminate the
supply chain issue. on the other hand, a pull strategy refers to the manufacturing and raw
material management. The inventory is forecasted as per demand. instead of wasting the money
they pull strategy present the picture of demand for the production and management forecasted
the customers and need of production and inventory in case of domino’s the customer and
demand forecasting has been one through integrated technology system and the stakeholder's
management makes the firm better and they started gaining revenue that declined in 2018.
Domino's technology advancement makes them satisfied for analyzing and managing the

production processing as per the demand forecasting. The overall assessment stated that the
bottom line and push and pull strategy both help in warehouse and lean, stakeholder
management. Other than this just in time is the best tool for production and processing.

Results
First of all, it has been analyzed from the above assessment that the main issue was in

production processing management that further created the supply chain and logistics issue for
the firm. The processing was affected by the bad relationship with the stakeholder and natural
disasters. The dominos suppliers were facing environmental crises that destroyed the
transportation and supplier’s production and directly affect the production process. Due to the
supplier's issue firm was unable to get the raw material or required inventory on time ...
