Introduction
Films and cinemas are usually made to help pass a certain message to the target
audiences (Abraham). The manner in which the messages are passed across varies from one film
to another. Various issues are usually taken into consideration during the filming process
(Bautista Urrego and Parra Toro). Among the different things taken into consideration include
setting, characters, and how the characters relate to each other. In the making of videos and
films, what is usually talked about most is what the different communities or societies undergo at
that time. The two series that I chose spoke of the major things that affected people at that time.
In this essay, we shall look into and analyze two films, I Love Lucy and Two and a Half Men.
I Love Lucy (1951)
The film series was created in the year 1951 to the year 1957. It was among the popular
shows that aired in the United States of America for a considerable duration of time ("I Love
Lucy"). Directors and creators of the film used comedy as a way to address the different issues.
Lucille Ball was the main character of the film, and she is known to have won several awards
due to the character she played. Lucy and Ricky were married in real life and in acting scenes as
well. Art is a reflection of what happens in the community and society.
