Purpose of the Morse Fall Scale (MFS)
The MFS is an assessment tool that can rapidly predict the probability of falls among
patients. The MFS is a simple tool made of six components that are scored during the

MFS components include the data on recent fall history, assigned a 25 score if the fall was
experienced during the current episodes of admissions. Fall that occurs for the first time is
