In the unit circle centered at the origin in the x y plane the sine of any angle is the y coordinate of the point where the terminal side of the angle touches the circle so the sine of your angle is sqrt of 3 divided by2. The cosine is the x coordinate of the point so the cosine is 1/2. The angle whose sine and cosine match those is 60 degrees.
