Since the end of World War II, the politics of cold war have shaped the political
development of the East Asia nations such as North Korea, South Korea, China, Japan and
Mongolia to a large extent. The politics of the cold war has led to the increasing growth of
communist regimes in the East Asia nations especially The Peoples Republic of China and the
North Korea. As a result of the cold war politics, the communist regimes have intensified their
crackdown on civilian democracy and anti-western rhetoric and capitalism. Another effect is the
growth of one party states and increased oppression of the opposition. Another key effect is the
