Topic: Should we cut taxes for the rich?
Introduction
A. Every society is comprised of two main groups; one is either rich or poor. There are
however some terms that have been coined such as "Middle-income earners" to show that
there are people who cannot be classified as either rich or poor. This implies that we have
the rich, middle class and the poor.
B. The tax has always been imposed on people equally without paying attention to their
income. For instance, when one buys an item, the VAT tax for a poor man is the same as
that of the rich man. The gap between the rich and the poor is really wide, and there is a
feeling that it is unfair for a poor person to be taxed the same way as a rich man. It could
either take two forms, either tax levied on the poor to be reduced or that levied on the rich
to be increased. This has really affected the poor taxpayers. The government will also be
able to increase the revenue through heavily taxing the rich.
C. This speech has been written based on sources which have been written by tax and
economic experts. The sources explain the effects of cutting the tax to the rich. Some of
the sources also elaborate on the advantages and disadvantages of cutting the tax cost to
the rich. One source, (Debate, 2016) has the view of different citizens and their reactions
on whether the tax should have their tax lowered or not. The sources are trusted and rich
of information needed.

number of middle-class and low-class earners are more than the rich. From the
statistics, it can be said that the main people who actually impact the economy of
the United States are the poor because they are so many and taxed just the same
way the rich are taxed.
