Yes, there are cases where people of a different race committed the same crime and received two different sentences. The one that pops up in my mind very quickly is the Ethan Couch case in Texas. He was a rich cauasian male teenager who killed 4 people in a fatal car crash. He was underage and driving a pick up truck while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. All he was just sentenced to 10 years probation and required rehab time. Cases like these with any other race regardless if the person is an adult or child, they would've faced a lot of jail time. Ethan Couch isn't facing not even a minute of jail time even though he killed four people.
