1. Magnesium bromide, MgBr2, has a lattice energy, Hlattice, of -2406.0 kJ/mol and a heat of
hydration, Hhydration, of -2591.6 kJ/mol.
Calculate the heat of solution, Hsolution, for magnesium bromide.
2. Order the following compounds by rewriting them from left to right in order of decreasing
heat of hydration (most exothermic to least exothermic).
CaBr2
MgBr2
NaBr
NaI
SrBr2
SrI2
3. Write a dissolution equation for Al(NO3)3 and use it as a basis for a Hess’s law type calculation
to determine the heat of hydration of a nitrate ion, Hhydration (NO3-), given:
Hsolution Al(NO3)3 = 174.0 kJ/mol
Hlattice Al(NO3)3 = -5796.0 kJ/mol
Hhydration (Al3+) = -4680.0 kJ/mol

IUP Toxicological Fields in Assessing the Aftermath of The Storms Discussion
Should be 2 pages double spacedNO PLAGIARISMThink back to a natural disaster, such as Hurricane Matthew in 2016 or Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Which two specialized fields of toxicology do you think would be involved in assessing some of the health risks and/or environmental issues involved in the aftermath of the storms. Why? What do you think would be their main concerns?Your journal entry must be at least 500 words. No references or citations are necessary.

St Petersburg College Mapping Concept of Solar System Paper
We’re going to do a concept map of the solar system here's how you do that. 1. First, get an 11x17 piece of paper. If you don’t have a piece that
big you can make one by taping two 8.5x11 (that’s normal size) pieces
together.2. Draw the Sun, the 8 planets and the asteroid belt as much to scale
as possible (in terms of size and distance from the Sun) on the piece
of paper.Note: you CANNOT draw
the solar system to scale and still expect it to be visible. But as you
draw think about which planets are larger, which are smaller, which are
tightly spaced and which are far from each other. And draw so that those
relationships are visible.3. Now labeling, label everything you can possibly think of about
each planet. We want this concept map to include everything any
reasonable person could want to know about the solar system. Some things
to think about.NamePeriod of rotationPeriod of revolutionJovian or terrestrial?Distance from the sunAtmosphere?SizeMoons?Rings?4. Anything interesting about that particular planetLarge volcanoesBig red spotsOrbits on its sideRunaway greenhouse atmosphereI'm not saying label it with these things, I’m saying label it with
every possible thing you can think of. This should help you see and make
sense of patterns in the solar system. Feel free to be creative, get
some colored pencils and do it in color if you want. Draw little
spaceships and aliens if you want. Have all the fun you want with it.
The important thing is to get the information on there so you’ve worked
with it, you can see it and your brain can assimilate it. (resistance is
futile)Once you've finished your concept map photograph it (Note: it might
take more than one picture to do it justice) and submit your photos to
the drop box. THEN hang the concept map on your wall in all its glory
for everyone to see and admire and for you to study from.

We continually talk about how risk is an everyday part of our lives but fail to explain how we mitigate that risk. A minute example would be driving a car. Obviously going 80mph in a steal box is dangerous. In order to mitigate and minimize the risk we experience, we simply put on our seatbelts. This can also be applied on a larger scale to the critical infrastructure of the United States. You asked us to not forget the single greatest threat to our infrastructure: neglect. Yet, our electric grid has been neglected for decades. The American Society of Civil Engineers just gave our entire energy infrastructure a grade of D+ since much of it is 40 years or older and needs to be replaced (Rhodes, 2017). Consisting most of powerplants, transmission lines and transformers, the United States must mitigate our decaying and neglected infrastructure in favor of cleaner energy for the future. In recent political news, in order to mitigate the effect of green house gases and curb global warming, newly elected Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) unveiled the Green New Deal which calls for removal of fossil fuel usage, upgrading or replacing “every building” in the country and overhauling transportation to limit the use of air travel. She also suggests removing “farting cows.” While bovine flatulence shockingly contributes to a significant portion of greenhouse gases and global warming, it remains unlikely that America’s 100 million cows will be exterminated any time soon (Breuninger, 2019). Regardless of the farting cows, mitigation remains a key component to AOC’s strategy within the Green New Deal and seeks to limit global warming.Breuninger, K. (2019, February 7). Does Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez really want to get rid of ‘farting cows’? Not yet, at least. CNBC. The old, dirty, creaky US electric grid would cost $5 trillion to replace. Where should infrastructure spending go? The Conversation.
