information security.
Indeed there are various benefits of ethical research in information security. Moreover,
there are also risks that may valuable with failure to follow the research ethics. The benefits of
research ethics in information security includes gaining adequate knowledge and insights from the
participants as the ethical standards will enhance values that critical collaborative activities such.
Moreover, research ethics promotes trusts and integrity which is essential in dealing with valuable
information in the organizations. Also, research ethics supports various important moral and social
values. In information security study, one will ensure that there is social responsibility and human
rights such as privacy rights are upheld during research. Similarly, the research ethics in
information security will minimize chances of cybercriminals breaking into computer systems and
gain access to data and programs without permissions (Salehnia, 2002).
However, the risks of not following the research ethics include the harm, loss of
