Value chain is a model that is used in description of how a firm receives raw materials
and then uses different processes to add value to the raw material to create a finished product.
The product is then sold to the customers as the end product. Every firm conducts a value chain
analysis by looking at every step of production that is required in creating the product. Then, the
firm identifies ways of increasing the efficiency of the value chain. The main goal is delivering
maximum value at the lowest cost possible which will create a competitive advantage ( Liang,
2015). The main activity that adds value and also creates a competitive advantage includes the
following; inbound logistics, operations, and outbound logistics, sales and marketing and also
