Here are the answers. let me know if you have any questions.thanks and bye

2.
y=(x-1)……………..(1)
y=(x-1)3…………..(2)
Substituting value of (x-1) from equation (1) to equation (2), we get
y=y3
or, y2=1
so, y=+1 and y=-1
for y=+1, we substitute the value of y in equation (1)
1=x-1
Or, x=2
for y=-1, we substitute the value of y in equation (1)
-1=x-1
Or, x=0
Answers are : x=2,y=1 or x=0,y=-1
This can be seen graphically below: From the curve also we see that the two curves intersect at
: x=2,y=1 and x=0,y=-1

Fig: blue curve is for y=(x-1)3 and red curve is for y=x-1
4.
Equations are:
2x+5y=-11…….(1)
5x-y=19…………(2)
Multiply equation (1) by 5
10x+25y=-55……………..(3)
Multiply equation (2) by 2
10x-2y=38…………………(4)
Subtract equation (4) from equation (3)
10x+25y-10x+2y=-55-38
Or, 27y=-93
So, y=-31/9
Plugging in the value of ...

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
