Introduction
Kinematics can be described as the study motion without the consideration of the
different forces that bring about the motion. Hence, fluid kinematics is the study of fluid motion,
both as a microscopic and macroscopic that are able to translate, rotate and deform at different
points in time. Fluids can be considered to be in a continuum; that is, if a fluid is identified to be
at a specific point in space with neighboring fluids will be at another space at a later time with
the same neighboring fluids and the exceptions of specific bifurcations. The concept of
identifying a fluid at a specific point in time has to be deterministic rather stochastic, that means
that random motions such as diffusion or turbulence cannot be described.
