I feel that we all need to work and that we do need the overtime apparently. In 2004 I was a victim of being laid off from work at the time as they were cutting my hours including any extra overtime. It is positive for a company not to give any overtime to any employee so like that they dont have to spend extra money on anyone. But it is negative for employees who need to work including myself at the time because they are really hurting for money especially now that the holidays are just around the corner people need to feed their families and may rent. The other negative thing is by cutting overtime many companies are not willing to hire other employees. Thats is why many people are unemployed today. There are also companies that are still willing to give more overtime and benefits for many employees but really hard to get as they probaly have to be working in that company for a lot of years.
