Poetic Justice in the works of Langston Hughes
The main reason for writing this essay is to illustrate the impact of the works of Mr.
Langston Hughes and the impact they had in the mindsets of the people’s thought patterns to
help liberate them from the hands of their oppressors. The works of Langston are a classic
representation of the power of the pen having wielded power in Spain and Congo among other
Afro and Franco-speaking nations. Langston Hughes was one of the greatest poets who graced
the planet earth who lived between the year 1902 – 1967 dedicating his life to use his education
and literary skills to be the voice of the silent minorities, the voiceless (Elia 12). His works of
literature brought a lot of appreciation of this important field of study by using the relevant
stylistic devices to change the lives of the people. Some of his works that will be discussed in
brief include but not limited to the Negro Speaks of Rivers, Harlem, I too, Theme from English
