This assignment is based on two interactions you have participated in while volunteering in your chosen health & social care environment. You will need to show a good understanding of the communication skills you have applied both verbal and non-verbal. You will then need to review these interactions making realistic suggestions on how any issues can be addressed. Key Skills: IE - Independent Enquirers, RL - Reflective Learners, SM - Self-Managers, CT - Creative Thinkers, TW - Team Workers, EP - Effective Participators. Task List: In this task you are required to participate in two interactions. For (P5) you must participate in a oneto-one interaction in a health and social care context. For (P6) you must participate in a group interaction in a health and social care context. For each interaction you will need to provide: • a Plan • A completed Checklist. • A completed Witness Statement. • A Report based on the observations of your witness and you own reflections. Reflection is an important skill and highly valued in the care sector. Reflection requires you to look critically at what you did and identify want went well, what went badly, how you could improve, the influence of recent research and what (if anything) you would do differently next time. For (M3) you must assess your communication and interpersonal skills in relation to each interaction. For (D2) you must evaluate the factors that influenced the effectiveness of each interaction.
