2. Project Background, Description, Activities, and Deliverables
Our project came to be by the entire group’s (Student Success Makers)
Project Background
understanding that there is a current issue taking place in this community. In
Orange County, there are a lot of low economy families living among us. In
these low income familie, technology is not the first thing these mothers and
fathers think of when bills need to be paid. Luckily, Orange county has been
able to give resources to these students within the county. All get either Ipads
or computers to further their learning in or out of the classroom. These tools
are great, if you are able to use them. Many students come home with these
tools in their backpack, but don't even take them out due to not having
accessible wifi to grant them all the great things that come out of them. This is
where our group's mission starts.

5. Resources
What resources do you need to complete the project? Think about what you need financially to accomplish
the task. How much time do you need to complete the project?
The Transmission Coalition's goal is to provide accessible and reliable Wi-Fi to students in the
Orange County Public School System based on financial need and geographical location. This
project's main goals are equality of access, the ability to complete schoolwork, and the future of
technology. The resources needed to complete this project are Enough funds to provide Wi-Fi to
families to successfully implement accessible Wi-Fi to students on a need base and meet geographical
requirements. Facilities to enable further the equality of access to accessible and reliable internet.
Partnership with local organizations and sponsors to create a long-lasting infrastructure and find one
that will meet our needs of successfully connecting students using the accessible Wi-Fi to complete
either schoolwork or extracurricular activities. A proper medium that can allow feedback from
families and students within the requirements. The project is coming to completion in 2022.
5. Success Measurements
Success, for this project, will be measured by the students’ ability to complete their school work and extra
curricular activities. This will be measured by frequent surveys on internet reliability, ability to complete
school work, and access to school related activities. The parents/ guardians of these students will also fill out a
survey about their perceptions of the internet reliability and how they believe their student is doing.
