Since the past times, emergency management has evolved and become more professional.
This has been contributed by many factors including the emergency and growth of higher
education programs in which people get more knowledge and skills that are necessary for
emergency management activities. Following some attacks that have been experienced, articles
discussing the homeland security have been established to ensure that they are well on track in
matters concerning emergency management. It is proposed that for emergency management to be
successful, all the programs at the homeland security have to be integrated together. From the
past, key points that involve culture crush have been identified. This culture crushes have been
identified as the future constraints to emergency management and must be dealt with by the
future policies and other external factors if they want to ensure proper emergency management in
the future. This essay identifies the historical evolution and future of emergency management
and the homeland security, discusses the various cycles of emergency management, identifies the
roles and responsibilities of key governmental participants in homeland security, and finally
discusses the various types of emergency incidences. The analysis of this article also concludes
on the future faculty and administrative initiatives that will help integrate the emergency

There were many factors ignored in the past such as human response to both the initial
effects and the long-term impacts of disasters in the past. It was ignored by most scientists during
the past years when their almost existed no skill on how to deal with an emergency situation and
the disciplines thought did not have studies that mentioned emergency management.
However, following some disasters that have occurred in the past and progressively,
many disaster studies have been done to come up with immediate and successful ways to deal
