Ethnicity of God
As God created first humans that Adam and Eve he said let’s make man in our own
image and likeness. God created humans in his own image but there is nowhere that God has
stated the race of the people he created. There is nowhere that God mentions ethnicity or any hint
where we can have a clue that God was either white or black. According to Steven Roberts he
states that most people believe that God is white because during the ancient days of slavery the
more people believed that God was white the more they viewed the white people as masters and
leaders. Over generations, this thought has been part of people. When kids are asked to draw
God around 72% of them draw God as white man. People visualize God differently (Roberts,
Weisman & Griffiths, 2020).
The opinion of kids is mainly influenced by how God is represented on the internet. 75%
of the pictures on the internet as well as on movies represent God as white. Children are likely to
be influenced by the captions on the internet to think that God is white. As for the adults, how
they view God is not a matter of influence but a matter of how they perceive people who are
perfect for leadership. Everyone would argue out that God is from their own race or from another
race depending on who they think is a perfect leader.
