Besides, the author reports that he created a cartoon program with three characters, each having a different particular need. Moreover, real-life people with similar disorders act as the characters in the cartoon program. Therefore, Benjamin hopes that the carton show will help in researching and providing strategies about handling students with special needs (Benjamin, 2016). Similarly, the overall goal of the project is to indicate that the special students have their fair contribution to society based on their characteristics. Examples of CodesThe first code identified from the video transcript is on positivity (Saldaña, 2016). “The purpose of the show was not to elicit sympathy from the masses, but to show children with special needs in a very normal light” (Benjamin, 2016, p. 1) In this example, Benjamin explains that conducting a show using the special need persons is to show their contribution in society.Furthermore, the second code identified in the text is about effecting change through inspiration.“It is my hope that the characters will serve to inspire, influence, and impact all children with special needs” (Benjamin, 2016, pp.1) The author describes that the purpose of the show is to encourage children with similar conditions.Reasoning for the CodesThe reason I chose the two codes from the transcript is that they communicate a clearpurpose for the project described by the author. The first code represents dramaturgical coding,where the objectives of the project are stated (Onwuegbuzie, Frels, & Hwang, 2016). Besides,the second code represents hypothesis coding, where the author says the hypothesis on the resultsof using special needs persons in their video (Onwuegbuzie, Frels, & Hwang, 2016). Mary Jo Bane and Christopher Jencks argue that if intelligence is inherited there is nothing the schools or anyone can do to improve a child's chances in life.  Below are five "myths" Bane and Jencks say are commonly accepted as true.  What do you think?  Using your own experience, respond to each "myth." IQ tests are the best measure of human intelligence. The poor are poor because they have low IQs.  Those with high IQs end up in well-paid jobs. Your IQ is overwhelmingly determined by your genetic endowment. The main reason African American children and poor, white children have low IQ scores is that they have "bad" genes. Improving the quality of the schools will go a long way toward wiping out the differences in IQ and school achievement and, therefore, in children's life chances.
