We have 24 J of kinetic energy, height of 3.3. meters, and mass of 0.7 kg. What is the gravitational potential energy and the total mechanical energy?

Dec 1st, 2014

Gravitational Potential Energy = (Mass in kg) (Acceleration due to Earth's gravity, 9.8) (Height in meters)

GPE = (0.7) (9.8) (3.3) = 22.638

Total Mechanical Energy = Potential Energy + Kinetic Energy

TME = 22.638 + 24 = 46.638
