Organizational change can be defined as the process whereby a firm or an institution
reviews and modifies its management structures, strategies and businesses processes.
Organizational change is usually carried with an aim of improving the overall performance of an
organization in its industry and even globally. Small business usually carries out organizational
change so that they can survive in an industry with giant companies who have dominated the
market. The small companies will make changes which will ensure that they keep up with the stiff
competition. However, it is important to note that only 25% of all change initiatives in the long
term. This is according to a survey made by Towers Watson which insists that the changes are high
–stake moves since they range from mergers to reorganization to business pivots. The failure in the
changes would, therefore, make the companies face a risk of close-ups and finally extinction. Any
organizational change, therefore, has to be done with a lot of due care since it determines the
continued existence of the company or organization (Weick & Quinn, 1999).

curricula to the education system including students, teachers and administrators. One thing which
