A 12.00 L tank contains 1.06 moles of gas at a pressure of 2.41 atm.  What is the temperature of the gas in this container?

1 mole of gas occupies 22.4 liters at STP (1 atm, 273.15 degrees Kelvin)

1.06 moles occupies 1.06 × 22.4 = 23.744 liters at STP

Using P1* V1/T1 =P2 * V2/T2

          1 x 23.744/273.15 = 2.41x 12/T2

         0.08693 =28.92/T2

                  T2 = 28.92/0.08693

                        = 333.68 degrees Kelvin 

                        =60.53 degrees Celsius


The temperature of the gas is 60.53 degrees Celsius
