Question Description

I need help with a Engineering question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.

1. What specific challenges exist in defining the operational requirements for a system of systems (SoS)?What is meant by “interoperability?”Provide an example.

undefined

2. Select and identify a system of your choice.

undefined

a. List three operational requirements for that system.

undefined

b. Briefly describe a maintenance concept for that system. (i.e., discuss preventive maintenance, repair concepts, spare parts, etc.)

undefined

c. Discuss some survivability strategies for that system. What are some threats (natural or manmade) that could affect the operation of the system? What are some design strategies to address these threats?

undefined

3. What is the purpose of developing a physical model of a system early in the system design process?

undefined

4. When should the planning for system test, evaluation, and validation commence? Why?What information is included in the test and evaluation master plan?

undefined

5. Evaluation and decision are important elements of the systems engineering process.Explain how potential solutions are assessed and arrived at.

Explanation & Answer

Hi am left with two questions have a look at what I have done. kindly allow me to finish ASAP.

1. What specific challenges exist in defining the operational requirements for a system of

systems (SoS)? What is meant by “interoperability?” Provide an example.
Most problems when defining the operational needs for a system of systems are as a result
of incongruous impacts that emanate from the unnatural juxtapositions inherent in systems
that inevitably result in enhanced scope as well as complexity. The challenges are:
(a) Ambiguity. There is an increased ambiguity regarding configuration management
therefore reducing both sustainability and productivity of the system of system.
(b) Human dynamics. Errors are likely to be encountered as a result of stranger to stranger
interactions.
(c) Sustainability. As the system evolves there will be challenges in managing may design
decisions that will unfold as well as the many change propositions that will be made.
(d) Methodology. There will be challenges in examining real time sosE condition as well as
adapting it to the unique abilities of its personnel.
Interoperability refers to the ability of systems or software to utilize and exchange information in
the course of their operation.
2.

Select and identify a system of your choice.

I select the automobile system.
a. List three operational requirements for that system.
Target. It is important to examine the target for the product or system to realize dependent on
the variant input.
Physical traits. These are the details regarding the system that should be examined. They include
the weight, accuracy, size and many more.
Deployment and distribution. These are details about how the sy...
