You have decided that this is a good opportunity to expand your day care business as you have received many inquiries for childcare. In order to comply with your home state regulations, you will require a larger facility and will need to hire additional staff in order to sustain the larger demand for day care. This staff will consist of five (5) Certified Day Care Professionals, one (1) Registered Nurse Professional, five (5) After-School Assistants and one (1) Office Support Paraprofessional. You have secured approval for a bank loan and qualify for future loans for future expansion if your current endeavor is successful. Meanwhile, the state in which you operate has requested that you provide a staffing plan before it will issue licensure for your expanded capacity.

an effective recruitment strategy that is not only effective but also economically based on the
exploits of an organization. Many organizations adopt a strategic approach that involves both
internal and external stakeholders to identify the needs of an organization before settling on a
particular recruitment strategy (Odden, 2011). This way, the employer is not only capable of
determining the gaps to be filled within an organization but also identifies the most appropriate

Job Requirements that Could Apply to the Chosen Scenario
Certified Day Care Professionals
Daycare professionals are persons who take care of small children or even older children
who are on vacation. These persons should be well cultured and have the passion for handling
children (BLS, 2016). Individuals who wish to apply for this position should have at least a high
school diploma in early childhood education. In order to ensure that the safety and healthcare needs
of the child are well taken care of, applicants should have an experience of 2 years and a positive
recommendation from the same. Necessary skills required for this profession include good
decision-making, patience, social and communication skills. All applicants should have basic child
development certification from the council for profession recognition (BLS, 2016). Certifications
from other registration bodies would also be an added advantage.
Registered Nurse Professional
Registered nurses are important for the day care facility in various ways. They are

Science in nursing but may also possess a master of the same (American Nurses Association,

national council of state boards of nursing.
After-school Assistants
After-school assistants have the mandate of offers help to the children in a variety of ways
(Tronshaw, 2016). Based on the vision of the home day care, the assistants could play a significant
role in developing creative and social skills in the children. In order to qualify for this position,
individuals should possess a minimum of a high school diploma in child care or any related course.
It is also important for such assistants to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
especially amongst children (Tronshaw, 2016). The ability to speak a foreign language would be
an added advantage for interested candidates.
Office Support Paraprofessional
The function of the support paraprofessional is to complement the teachers in the facility
hence may oversee guidance and training of the children on different aspects. The assistants also
