How do you solve these exponential functions?

1.) 5(2^3x) = 8

2.) 3^1-2x = 4^x

1) 5(2^3x) = 8

    2^3x=8/5

   3x=log2(8/5)=0.678

    x=0.678/3=0.226

2) 3^1-2x = 4^x

     3-2x=(2^2)^x

     3-2x=2^(2x)

    Input 2x=1 into the equation, it works.

   so x=1/2
