Educators apply different techniques to ensure that they have equipped learners with
helpful information. Teachers associated with teaching children are associated with innovating
teaching techniques that help attract children's attention and equip them with knowledge.
Different researchers have recorded various information concerning learning in children. This
paper will analyze different information learned from Margie & Curtis, Deb, (2014, 2nd
edition).
After reading chapter 6 of the book, one of the topics that I found most motivating and
inspiring is the effective mode of learning used by children. From the text, the author quoted
Nikolien van Wijk work that says, "when children explore schemas, they are building on their
understanding of abstract ideas, patterns, and concepts" (Curtis & Carter, 2014. Pg.154). This
stands as support that involving a child in physical activity helps in building their phycological
ability to acquire knowledge.
