Abstract
Organizational changes are an important component of any organization. At the same time,
change is an integral part of the organization such that it cannot be evaded as institutions are
always undergoing change since we live in a dynamic world. These changes are critical as they
keep the institution in a good condition as well as maintain the organization health. The
employees play a vital role in ensuring the success of the organizational change. In many
occasions, many change leaders tend to overlook the contribution of the employees towards the
success of the organizational change and the results of overlooking them are catastrophic. When
the employees are not contented or they feel that their needs are not being taken into
consideration in the change project will be against the change project and this will create high
level of resistance that might lead to the failure or ineffective implementation of the change
project. Thus, it is essential for the managers of the change project to be sensitive to the needs as
well as the feelings of the employees during the change project. Sensitivity to the feelings of the
workers decreases friction and resistance to change and have conspicuous results as it leads to
the success of the change project. The most effective way for the organization to be sensible to
the employee feelings is through the incorporation of justice in the change project.

Introduction
Recently, organizational justice has become a very essential component in the
implementation of organizational change projects. Organizations must take into consideration the
element of organizational justice when it comes to organizational change projects to ensure the
success of these projects. Primarily organizational justice means the provision of employment
conditions especially during change projects that drive most employees into holding the
perception that the organization is either treating them fairly or unfairly in implementing the
change project. Organizational justice plays a critical role in determining the results of an
organizational change project (Umbreit & Carey, 1995). The employees perception of the
element of organizational justice is revealed through their emotions, and thus, in the
implementation of the change projects, it is vital that the management take into consideration the
emotions revealed by the employees as they reveal whether they feel they are treated in a just or
unjust manner.
