1) Importance of Apple's Functional Structure for their Products
Apple's functional system has helped in the success of the product development of the
Company. Apple's company goal is to make the world's best products that enrich the lives of
people. Through their functional structure, Apple has been able to create different products that
have been received by people positively. Apple's functional system operates through
collaboration where different people table their ideas and make the best out of them, making
their products incomparable. According to Colquitt, Lepine & Wesson (2014), Apple's functional
structure has helped the Company produce products that enable its users to share information
efficiently. Apple's operating system has made products with high expertise and technology that
make users access more information than other companies' users. Apple's functional structures
have made the Company beat up its competitors like Sony, whose products are way below
Apple's. Apple's functional system plays a vital role in the Company because of the products
they produce.
2) Outside forces that can make Apple change its Organizational Structure
Some forces can make Apple change its organizational structure, including customer
experience. Apple, in their goals, wants to ensure customer satisfaction by providing the best
products to their customers that will change their lives. For example, frustrations of apple
desktop users because of lack of updates for over three years can make the Company change its
organizational structure. The customers who depend on Apple and keep on making inquiries
about lack of updates can change their mind and move to another company if action is not taken
