DEFINING SOCIAL JUSTICE
According to Neckerman (2004), social justice has been discussed far and wide over the
years. Social justice basically entails the fairness and equality in the distribution of social and
economic resources in a society. Various societies have however had different ways of defining
social justice depending on the prevailing social and economic conditions in these economies as
well as the historical background of these societies. In discussing social justice, the issues of
social injustices in the society have been profound and it is for this reason therefore that there is
need to discuss the issue of social justice in depth.
