Given a vapor pressure of toluene of 21 mm Hg, at 760 mm Hg, what is the equilibrium concentration for toluene? (show your work)

This sounds like the process of diffusion where particles move from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration until both sides are equal, except in this case we are talking about pressure. The total pressure is 21mm Hg + 760mm Hg = 781mm Hg. Half of that is 390.5mm Hg. This means that the pressure will move from the 760 mm Hg sides until it reduces down to 390.5 mm Hg to move it's excessive pressure to the other side to increase that side to 390.5mm Hg.
