Individual Article Submission
- Each student will search the news or artcles (past 5 years) for an article/news report related to the topics of the class. The first article submission is an individual assignment; one is due from each group member where a link to the article, a PDF of the article.
In the paper (2-5 pages), answer the following questions:
1) Summary of the article
2) Relationship to topics in class (use APA to reference the material)
3) Suggestions or recommendations/learnings
Then include the article as a link in references for your paper. Submit include the pdf file of your article here as well. Articles can be from Harvard Business Review or ATD.org or SHRM.org or similar journals and training organizations.

The research article addresses different issues related to different initiatives seeking to
ensure the employees are equipped with the relevant skills required in the corporate world. In the
modern world, there has been a massive shift in the way key activities are performed within the
organization. As result of the advancements in technology, there has been an increased emphasis
on the need to ensure the employees update their skills to meet the changing demands of their
jobs (Lalwani, 2021). Many organizations tend to utilize regular trainings on the employees
which helps in developing the necessary skills required in the organization (Lalwani, 2021).
Investments in employee training, therefore, plays a crucial role in increasing inclusivity and
created fair chances in the working environments.
Based on the research article, it is evident that Amazon, one of the leading firms in the
works has undertaken different initiatives to ensure the employees are adequately trained.
Amazon plans to invest over $700 million by 2025 to cater to the upskilling needs and
requirements of the employees (Lalwani, 2021). The move targets over 100,000 workers
working for the firm; this will ensure the employees can easily shift to both the technical and
non-technical roles within the organization.
