Argument Essay Outline Introduction The emergence of the pandemic has affected the economy due to the different restrictions put into place. Some businesses were utterly run down due to lack of cash flow while many were left unemployed, increasing unemployment rates. Technology has increased and continues growing as people move to digitalized working. II. Body A. Origin/Root Cause: What is the earliest moment in history where your issue was a problem? And/or what is the root cause of your issue? The hitting of the pandemic in early 2020 led to detrimental factors. The economy deteriorated as well within the next months. By mid-2020, stock markets had reported to have fallen so low and the prices lowered more than they had before even in 2008 when there had been a recession. The rate of unemployment increased by a great margin (Sharif, Aloui, & Yarovaya, 2020). Many companies were forced to close down due to the restrictions put in place like the limited movement of people, only essential services could be offered. At the same time, this led to people being laid off as there was no revenue being paid to sustain them which led to no cash flow. The covid-19 pandemic came with the different restrictions in place, at the same time, they led to layoffs, companies closing and generally the economy went down. B. Historical Moments over time (condensed version of your history section from Essay 2) In 2020 when the pandemic hit, things started having a slowdown due to lack of cash flow. With more sick people, then the economy had to get affected. In 2020 when the pandemic Last Name 1 hit, things started having a slowdown due to lack of cash flow. Many companies were closed, institutions put on lock down as well as some of the areas within the cities. Movement to other countries was shut down. A good example is that people could not travel to other areas which sectors like tourism and hospitality could not sustain their employees. Another example is that the pandemic was something new so the extent of the damage that it could cause was unknown which made restrictions more demanding and limiting. The restrictions were meant to offer a sense of control. C. Environmental Scan: i. Industry/Market 1. Direct supply disruptions hinder production since the disease is focused on the world's manufacturing heartland (East Asia) and spreading fast in the other industrial giants – the US and Germany. Demand disruptions due to (1) macroeconomic drops in aggregate demand, i.e., recessions, and (2) precautionary or wait-and-see purchase delays by consumers and investment delays by firms. (Baldwin, Richard, and Eiichi Tomiura., pg. 4) 2. The above goes to show how demand and supply are affected by the current situation. With the limited workings of factories, their production and manufacturing industries are not as productive as before. ii. Technology 1. The resulting output contraction size may be attenuated today thanks to digital technology and cloud-based collaborative software and databases. These didn't exist when, for example, the Last Name 1 SARS pandemic struck nearly two decades ago. (Baldwin, Richard, and Eiichi Tomiura., pg,13) 2. The advancement in technology today has made it easier for the health care sector to manage the disease. iii. Regulatory 1. The higher cost of transport and logistics services due to reduced trading routes for Chinese exports and imports Reduced entry/allowance and stringent bio-safety and health compliance requirement of Chinese flag carrier ships, planes, and vehicles by countries to air, sea, and land ports. ( Barua, Suborna., pg. 16) 2. The reduced cases of imports and exports have increased the cost of transport, making everything increase, therefore increasing the cost of everything. iv. Economics 1. Even putting aside concerns about public health, it appears that there is a significant economic tradeoff whether or not we impose social distancing — the economic costs of strong social distancing measures imposed for an entire 12-18 months on the one hand or the economic costs of a large cumulative burden of lost work time three due to the disease (Atkeson, Andrew.pg.3) Last Name 1 2. Social distancing has led to a lot of changes within the business and economic sectors. Due to that, many costs have gone high, and that drives costs even in other sectors. v. Social 1. Characteristics the determine these transition rates Underlying disease and by the extent of mitigation and social distancing measures imposed. (Andrew Atkeson, pg. 1) 2. Due to the pandemic, there are a lot of things that have changed. Socializing has changed as people have to adhere to social distancing requirements. vi. Political 1. Likewise, as states and countries were re-opening after the pandemic's "curve was flattened," the rhetoric and arbitrariness with which each local government eased the "stay at home" orders only further showed the divided political perspectives. In many countries, one political party appealed to the economic fears of workers and businesses concerned that livelihoods are slipping away (Zwanka, R. J., & Buff, C, pg. 5) 2. In most countries, leaders are taking advantage of situations to enhance their personal lives. In some countries like the third world, they use some of the money to help the populations for personal gains. Last Name 1 D. Argument: Reason to support your thesis The economy has gone wrong after the pandemic. There is limited production within the manufacturing industries like the closure of companies. This is due to a labour shortage and the layoffs within the sectors. Also depending on the technology more than the human labor resulted in job loss for many people. A lot of companies started to depend on technology, like using zoom, or other technologies, and that resulted in a job loss for many people because those companies did not need people if they could use online apps, or other technologies to communicate or to reach the consumer. It has led to limited supply within the market which reflects on the economy. E. Argument: Reason to support your thesis The restrictions put in place cause a limited movement. For instance, People cannot travel to other countries for business. This could result in an economic decay because there will be not as many contracts as usual. Another example is that the travel companies, or the tourist industry in general could not work because of the travel restrictions. This resulted for the airplane companies, and other companies to close because if people do not travel and pay for travel, then these people will not be able to continue working. This has led to a decrease in imports and exports, which has affected the general market. F. Argument: Reason to support your thesis Loss of jobs has led people to live between hand and mouth, meaning that they lack any disposable income to help push the economy up. For instance with no source of money, they have to live on savings and handouts from well wishers. People will live under some very poor conditions. For example, they will be able to buy as much as they used to because of the economy, and when I say buy, I mean almost any type of buys, buying food, clothes, and a lot more. This goes to show that the rates of spending have decreased and no revenue is going into the economy. Last Name 1 G. Repeat Body structure for any additional paragraphs H. Counterargument: The pandemic has led to the growth and improvement of some of the sectors. A good example is within the technology industry. People had to learn how to use technology, especially when they started working from home, to order things online as they were restricted on movements. Another example is the increase in the internet of things. has increased connectivity of people. Even then, so much has changed, and the economy has deteriorated, and we might have to be in recession before we can get it running as expected before. III. Conclusion The pandemic is something that has affected everyone around the globe. The topic and my stance on this issue can help others understand what it has caused in general in a more in-depth manner. With the knowledge, they can opt to take up measures that will benefit society, like starting their own business, being innovative and learning to survive amidst this pandemic.

been hurting in terms of direct cost more than the illness the disease has caused and the death it
has costed the people. Although when we say the low impact of COVID 19 pandemic we do not
directly referes to the low economic impacts, resections have been experienced in many countries
across the globe, although some have not experienced the real imp-acts of the pandemic in terms
of serious health effects, The smaller public health events might have had serious impacts in firms
of the countries with lower economic strengths since their social economic conditions are weak
and cannot support the entire populations.

Sir name 2
In the world where almost everything have been globalized, consequences have hit countries both
directly and indirect. The impact has hit from disruptions of value chains, reduced demands of
goods at the international levels and markets because the recessions have been spread so widely.

were being consumed mostly in the Wuhan city into the human beings.
The case stating that Corona viruses were transmitted from the pangolins into the human beings is
one of the possible cases although it remains unclear exactly how the viruses got their way into
the human systems. Other cases says that the viruses might have originated from the seafood and
other animals foods that are sold in the Wuhan market. That the case, might have started from the

Once the covid 19 was identified to be a virus that spread very first from one human being to the
