Research Proposal This assignment involves drafting a research proposal. This assignment is particularly important for students considering graduate education. The assignment is meant to be a proposal only and involves no direct data collection although an informal "pre-test" may be appropriate. The final proposal should demonstrate your ability to define a researchable question, to develop working hypotheses or propositions, to develop a relevant literature review on the question, to draft a methodology to answer the research question, and to report and evaluate your "findings". The final proposal should cover the following areas: 1. Statement of the Problem - clearly identify the research problem and the purpose of the research. - state the research question in the form of a question. - develop appropriate hypotheses or research propositions (what you expect to find). 2. Review of the Literature - summarize the literature that was reviewed in relation to the research problem. - identify and summarize conclusions of other research studies focusing on the problem you are studying. - highlight any issues pertaining to methodology. 3. Research Design and Methods - describe the design selected. - methodological considerations may include: a. Sampling - what is the total population under study. - what type of sample will be selected and how. - can the results be generalized to the larger population. b. Instrumentation - provide any operational definitions of variables. - method of collecting data (interviews, questionnaires, secondary data, etc.). - if using an interview schedule or questionnaire include a draft in the appendix. - how will you pre-test. 4. Data Analysis and Conclusions - summarize the major findings you expect to find. - relate these to the research question and hypotheses or propositions. - you may wish to include hypothetical/expected findings in the appendix. 5. Limitations and Ethical Considerations - discuss the limitations and ethical considerations that you have identified in your proposal. - how would you do it differently. - what impact do you expect the limitations have on the findings. 6. Timeline and Budget - give an estimate timeline for completion. - provide an estimate of expected costs. Length of Assignment: 10-15 pages (not including Appendix – eg. Survey instrument, etc), typed and double-spaced, 12pt.

Even use of fuel type is also changing. However, there is one thing which is always there in
the society, in different forms, and that is Domestic Violence.
Most of the domestic violence crime has happened either with women or with child, so earlier

social issues, the case of domestic violence is also getting raised on different platforms.
Domestic violence is not related to any particular society, city, or country, it is a global issue,
and that is the reason even United nation is also concerned about the cases of domestic
violence. Be it any developing country like United States or any developing country in Africa.
Problem and issues relat4ed to domestic violence are same everywhere. The only difference
could have been on the way of handling the issues related to domestic violence.
The idea behind this research is to understand the issues related to Domestic violence and
how it can impact the society at different levels. This research will focus on questions like:

3) Rehabilitation programs for Victims of domestic violence.
4) Laws associated with domestic violence.

For better understanding of the issues related to domestic violence, different scholarly
articles are also studied, which can help in framing the research in a more structured way.
These topic of scholarly articles are selected in a way, that they can explain the effect of
domestic violence in different part of the word, like how people deal with the issue in
Developed country and how the issue is taken in the developing countries in Africa.
To get the more realistic result, research design is very important, how the research is going
to get designed, on what research methodologies the research is going to get based and what
will be the method of sampling. As this is going to be a qualitative research, the best way of
data collection can be through grounded method. Which includes the interview and data
research for more clarity of the topic. While collecting the information, it is must to respect
the participant’s privacy, and conduct the research with ethical consideration.
